Taking care of your Shoes

Leather shoes
Before wearing leather shoes, use a leather protector and wear your new shoes in dry conditions for the first few occasions. This gives your new shoes the opportunity to get used to the way your foot flexes, building up a protection on the surface of the sole. Try to avoid wearing new shoes on consecutive days, to allow time for drying and airing between wearings.

Wet shoes
Wet shoes should be allowed to dry naturally (never dry with artificial heat) stuffed with paper kitchen towels or tissues to absorb moisture. Harsh drying will easily ruin your new leather soles, also causing the uppers to stiffen and warp.

Storage
Get yourself a pair of shoe trees to help maintain the shape of your new shoe and help reduce creasing and to stop the sole from curling up.

High heels
To protect your feet from chaffing or slipping inside the shoe when wearing high heels, add a foot or heel cushion inside the shoes

Cushioned insoles
Adding a soft rubber or leather insole to your shoes will cushion your feet. Most insoles can be cut to size and using leather insoles will also absorb odours.
